The Amidongsuo Scenic Area is in Qilian County, Haibei, and covers 112.92 square kilometres. "Amidongsuo" is Tibetan for "outpost of a thousand soldiers"; the mountain is also known as Niuxin Mountain. The area includes highland pastures, grassland flower fields and a forest campsite. It was rated a national 5A tourist attraction on 29 December 2020.
