The airport is about 15 km to the east of Tumxuk city center. There is no metro; reach the city by airport shuttle bus or taxi, with taxi being the fastest and most convenient option.

Opened 2022 for the Bingtuan city of Tumxuk on the Taklamakan's western edge; halal food available. A domestic regional airport in Xinjiang. Basic facilities (dining and small shops); ask the information desk about a prayer room. Halal options available.

To Tumxuk Railway Station (regular/high-speed): there is no metro; the best option is a taxi directly from the airport, about 30 minutes. The airport shuttle bus toward the city center is also available, from where you can change to the station. Allow extra time at remote regional airports.
