About 50 km from central Nyingchi (Bayi) along the Yarlung Tsangpo river. No metro; flight-timed airport shuttle or taxi around CNY 150-200 in about an hour.

Traveller notes

Tibet's lowest airport (~2,949 m) but one of the most challenging to land at due to narrow valleys and winds. Domestic flights to Chengdu, Lhasa and Guangzhou. Nyingchi is lower and greener than Lhasa, good for acclimatising.
