🚇 Getting to the city centre
The airport is ~28 km northeast of central Kunming. Metro Line 6 (Airport line) links the airport to the East Bus Station in ~25 min for about ¥6, then transfer to Line 3 for the centre. A taxi takes ~40–50 min and costs ~¥80–100. Airport buses are also available.

The main hub for Southwest China and a gateway to Southeast and South Asia. A single terminal handles domestic and international; prayer room and restaurants available. High-altitude airport (~2,100 m).
🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations
Kunming South Railway Station: Metro Line 6 from the airport into the city, then transfer to Line 1 to the south station in Chenggong; about 80 to 90 minutes for about 8 yuan, or an airport bus for about 25 yuan.
Kunming Railway Station: The express Metro Line 6 into the city with a transfer; about 60 minutes for about 6 yuan, or airport bus Line 1 into the city for about 25 yuan.
Kunming East Railway Station: Metro Line 6 with a transfer; about 50 minutes, or a taxi.
