Getting to the city centre

The airport is about 38 km to the west of Kangding city center. There is no metro; reach the city by airport shuttle bus or taxi, with taxi being the fastest and most convenient option.

At 4,238 m it is one of the world's highest airports, gateway to western Sichuan's Tibetan region. A domestic regional airport in Sichuan. Basic facilities (dining and small shops); ask the information desk about a prayer room.

🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations

To Kangding Railway Station (regular/high-speed): there is no metro; the best option is a taxi directly from the airport, about 76 minutes. The airport shuttle bus toward the city center is also available, from where you can change to the station. Allow extra time at remote regional airports.
