盧家少婦鬱金堂，海燕雙棲玳瑁梁。
九月寒砧催木葉，十年征戍憶遼陽。
白狼河北音書斷，丹鳳城南秋夜長。
誰為含愁獨不見，更教明月照流黃。

في قاعة غُرفتها عطرة كأزهار الزعفران، تعيش السيدة الشابة من أسرة لو، حيث تحط خطاطيف البحر مزدوجة على عوارضها المنقوشة بصدف السلحفاة.
في سبتمبر، تدق حجارة النسيج الباردة مع تساقط أوراق الشجر، وعشر سنوات من الخدمة العسكرية البتجعل القلب يشتاق إلى لياو يانغ البعيدة.
شمال نهر باي لانغ انقطعت منه الرسائل والأخبار، وجنوب مدينة العنقاء الأحمر تتمدد ليالي الخريف بلا نهاية.
من ذا الذي يظل أسير الحزن لا يُرى، ثم يُكلَّض بضوء القمر الساطع على أقمشتها الحريرية الصفراء وهي تغزل؟

In the scented hall, the young wife of the Lu household dwells,
Where swallows in pairs nest on the tortoised-beam beams.
In the ninth month, the cold pounding of clothes hastens the falling of the leaves,
For ten years of frontier service, she thinks of Liaoyang.
North of the White Wolf River, news and letters have ceased;
South of the Red Phoenix Gate, the autumn night stretches long.
Who pines in sorrow, alone, unseen by her beloved?
The bright moon only adds to her grief, shining upon her silken curtains.
