遣懷(杜牧)
落魄江湖載酒行，
楚腰纖細掌中輕；
十年一覺揚州夢，
贏得青樓薄幸名。

متروكٌ في الأنهار والبحار، أحملُ الخمرَ معي،
خصرُ تشو الرَّشيقُ الخفيفُ يتراقصُ في راحةِ الكَفّ؛
بعدَ عشرِ سنواتٍ أستيقظُ من حُلْمِ يانغتشو،
فأربحُ فقطَ سُمْعةَ العابثِ في القصورِ الحمراء.
Unburdening the Heart (Du Mu)
Drifting through the rivers and lakes with wine in hand,
Waists slender as Chu dancers, light as if dancing on a palm;
Ten years, and a dream of Yangzhou is at an end,
Leaving behind a fickle name among the pleasure quarters.
