逢入京使
故園東望路漫漫，雙袖龍鍾淚不乾。
馬上相逢無紙筆，憑君傳語報平安。
لقاء مبعوث إلى العاصمة
أنظر شرقاً نحو الديار، فطال بي الطريق، وغدا كُمّا من دموعي لا يجفّان.
في الطريق التقينا، ولا ورق ولا قلم معي، فاحمل عني كلمة: أنّي بخير.
Meeting a Messenger Going to the Capital
Eastward I gaze toward home, the road stretches endlessly,
Both sleeves soaked with tears, my eyes weep without cease.
On horseback we meet—no paper, no brush in hand,
I beg you carry word that I am safe and well.
