初發揚子寄元大校書
悽悽去親愛，泛泛入煙霧。
歸棹洛陽人，殘鐘廣陵樹。
今朝此爲別，何處還相遇。
世事波上舟，沿洄安得住。
رسالة من نهر يانغتسي إلى يوان الكبير
بحزنٍ أغادر أحبّتي، وأبحرُ في الضباب الشاسع.
عودتي بقارب مع أهل لويانغ، بينما تتلاشى أصوات أجراس قوانغلينغ بين الأشجار.
ها نحن نفترق اليوم، فمتى ومأين نلتقي مجدّدًا؟
الدنيا كقارب على الأمواج، فهل يستطيع أن يستقرّ في تيارها أو دوّرانه؟
A Letter from the Yangtze River to Yuan the Elder
With heavy heart I leave my dear ones, drifting into the mist and haze.
The oars turn homeward toward Luoyang; fading bells sound through the trees of Guanglang.
Today we part like this—where shall we meet again?
Life is a boat on the waves—how can it hold its course against the current?
