هدية إلى بي شي رين تحت القصر / Presenting to Pei Sheren Below the Palace
In the second month, the orioles fly through the Shanglin Park;
The spring city, the Purple Forbidden City, is dark in the dawn.
Beyond the flowers, the bells of Changle Palace fade away;
In the rain, the willows by the Dragon Pond grow deep in hue.
The warm spring sun cannot dispel my grief at a dead-end road;
Toward the heavens, I ever cherish the thought of offering my loyalty anew.
For ten years I have presented my rhapsodies, yet still met no fortune;
Ashamed, I face the flowered hairpins with my white hair.
