Remembering the Past at Xisai Mountain

Wang Jun's tower ships descended from Yizhou,

The royal aura of Jinling dimmed and was gathered away.

A thousand-fathoms of iron chains sank to the river's bottom,

A single white banner of surrender emerged from Shitou.

How many times has the world grieved over past events?

The mountain's shape remains, pillowed upon the cold stream.

Now we meet the day when all within the Four Seas is one home,

The old fortress desolate, reeds and rushes in autumn.
