溪居

久為簪組束，幸此南夷謫。

閒依農圃鄰，偶似山林客。

曉耕翻露草，夜榜一作「傍」響溪石。

來往不逢人，長歌楚天碧。

لطالما قيّدني المنصب الرسمي، ولحسن الحظ نُفيتُ إلى هذه الأراضي الجنوبية النائية.

أعيش هادئاً متاخماً للمزارعين والبستانيين، وأحياناً أشعر كأنني نزيل في الجبال والغابات.

في الفجر أحرث الأرض أقلب أعشابها المبللة بالندى، وفي الليل أُشرع قاربي فتصطدم مجاديفه بحصى الجدول.

لا ألقى أحداً في ذهابي وإيابي، فأُطيل الغناء تحت سماء تشو الزرقاء.

Long confined by official rank and tie,

I count it luck to be exiled to southern barbarians.

Leisurely I keep company with farmers and gardeners,

Now and then I seem a guest of the hills.

At dawn I till the fields turning dew-laden grass;

At night my boat grinds against the rocks in the stream.

Coming and going, I meet no one—

I sing long songs beneath the blue sky of Chu.
