嗟君此別意何如，駐馬銜桮問謫居。
巫峽啼猿數行淚，衡陽歸雁幾封書。
青楓江上秋天遠，白帝城邊古木疎。
聖代即一作「祗」今多雨露，暫時分手莫躊躇。

يا لَهُ مِنْ فُرْقَةٍ! ما خاطِرُكَ في هذا الوداع؟ وقفتُ عن فرسي وحملتُ الكأسَ أسألكَ عن مَغْربِكَ في المنفى.
في وَعْرِ وُو شِيَا، تَنْحَبِ الْقُرُودُ فَتُسِيلُ دُمُوعًا كَثِيرَةً، وفي جبالْ هِنْ يانَغَ، هَلْ تَحْمِلُ الإبِلُ الرَّاجِعَةُ إليكَ رِسالاتٍ مِنْ خِلالِ رِحْلتِها؟
على نهرِ الشِّيغَانْجْ، تَمْتَدُّ أَشْجَارُ الْقَيْقَبِ الخَضْراءُ تَحْتَ سَماءِ الخريفِ البعيدِ، وجانِبُ قَصْرْ بَاي دِي يُحِيطُ بِهِ خَشَبُ العُرُوجِ القديمةِ المُتَبَاعِدَةُ.
إِنَّ عَصْرَ الحُكْمِ الرَّشِيدِ - وَحتى في وَقْتِنا هذا - يَفِيضُ بِالنِّعَمِ وَالغَيْثِ، فَلا تَتَرَدَّدْ في هذا الفِراقِ المُؤَقَّتِ!

Grieving at this parting—how do we feel? / Halting our horses, raising our cups, we ask about your place of exile.
In the Wu Gorge, the apes weep—tears in many lines; / at Hengyang, the returning geese—how many letters will they bring?
On the green maple river, autumn skies stretch far; / by White Emperor City, ancient trees stand sparse.
In this sacred age—abundant as rain and dew is Heaven's grace— / this parting is but temporary; do not hesitate, do not grieve.
