去年花裏逢君別，今日花開已一年。
世事茫茫難自料，春愁黯黯一作「忽忽」獨成眠。
身多疾病思田里，邑有流亡愧俸錢。
聞道欲來相問訊，西樓望月幾廻圓。

في السنة الماضية، التقيتُك وداعًا بين الزهور، واليوم تزهر الأزهار من جديد وقد مضى عامٌ كامل.
أحوال الدنيا غامضةٌ لا أستطيع التنبؤ بها، وكآبة الربيع تثقلُ روحي فأخلدُ إلى النوم وحيدًا.
جسدي مثقلٌ بالأمراض فأحنّ إلى حقولي وأرضي، وفي قريتي أناسٌ هجروها فأخجلُ من راتبي الذي أتقاضاه.
بلغني أنك تنوي المجيء لزيارتي، فصعدتُ إلى البرج الغربي أراقب القمر كم مرة اكتمل.

Last year among the flowers we parted, and now the flowers have bloomed a full year through.
The ways of the world are vast and hard to fathom; in the dim gloom of spring's sorrow, I sleep alone.
With a body plagued by many ailments, I long for the fields and home;
when refugees wander in the district, I am ashamed to receive my salary.
I hear you are coming to visit—
from the western tower I watch the moon, how many times has it been full?
