Lament for Historic Sites, No. 5

Zhuge's great name hangs across the universe; the revered minister's portrait, solemn and pure.

The tripartite division strained his far-reaching plans; through all eternity, a single feather amid the clouds.

Between the brothers appeared Yi and Lü; with calm command he outshone Xiao and Cao.

Fate shifted—the Han mandate could never be restored; resolved in purpose, he perished in service, worn by military toil.
