奉和中書舍人賈至早朝大明宮
雞鳴紫陌曙光寒，鶯囀皇州春色一作「欲」闌。
金闕一作「鎖」曉鐘開萬戶，玉階仙仗擁千官。
花迎一作「明」劒珮星初落，柳拂旌旗露未乾。
獨有鳳皇池上客，陽春一曲和皆難。

يُغنّي الديك فوق الشوارع البنفسجية، وبرجر الفجر بارد،
والعصفور يترنّم في العاصمة الإمبراطورية، ولون الربيع أو "كاد" أن يزول.
بوابات الذهب أو "الأقفال" تُفتح مع طرق الفجر آلاف الأبواب،
والدرج من اليشم، والعصا الإلهية تحيط بآلاف المسؤولين.
الزهور تستقبل السيوف والقلائد، والنجوم للتو بدأت تختفي،
والصفصاف يلامس الرايات، والندى لم يجف بعد.
وحده ضيف برج طائر العنقاء،
نشيد "ينبوع الربيع" واحد، والردّ عليه صعب على الجميع.

The cock crows on the Purple Path, dawn light still cold;
The orioles sing in the imperial city, spring colors near their end.
Through the golden gates the morning bells open ten thousand doors;
The jade steps and immortal staves surround a thousand officials.
Flowers greet the swords and pendants as the stars first fade;
The willows brush the banners, the dew not yet dry.
Only the guest upon the Phoenix Pool—
A single song of "Yang Chun," and all find it hard to match.
