Complying with the Imperial Composition from Penglai to Xingqing Pavilion, Spring Rain and Spring View (Wang Wei)
The Wei River winds its way through the Qin frontier's curves,
The Yellow Mountain once encircled the Han palace's slopes.
The imperial carriage emerges far beyond the willows of a thousand gates,
The gallery road winds and turns, gazing upon the flowers of the royal park.
Amid the clouds, the twin phoenix towers of the emperor's city,
In the spring rain, the spring trees and ten thousand households.
This is to ride the vital force and enact the seasonal decrees,
Not the imperial excursion to dally with the splendor of nature.
