江鄉故人偶集客舍
天秋月又滿，城闕夜千重。
還作江南會，翻疑夢裡逢。
風枝驚暗鵲，露草覆一作「泣」寒蟲。
羈旅長堪醉，相留畏曉鐘。
تجمع عابر لأصدقاء قادمين من مسقط رأسي في نزيل ضفاف النهر
القمر بدرٌ في سماء الخريف،
وأبواب المدينة تتراكم ظلاماتها في ليل لا ينتهي.
التقينا مجدداً في أرض جيانغنان،
حتى شككتُ أنني أراك في حلم.
نسيمٌ هزّ الأغصان فذعفر العصفور الخفيّ،
وندى الفجر غطّى الحشرات المرتعشة.
في غربتي، ما أكثرُ ما يستحقّ أن أسكر منه،
لكننا نتشبّث ببعضنا خوفاً من جرس الفجر.
Chance Meeting of Old Hometown Friends at a Riverside Inn
Beneath the autumn sky the moon fills full again,
The city walls lie folded deep in night.
We meet once more here south of the Yangtze's reach—
I scarce believe this is no dream we share.
The wind-touched branch startles a darkening magpie,
The dew-soaked grass enfolds the cold insects' cry.
A wanderer's lot is long enough for drunkenness,
We linger, loath to part, dreading the dawn bell's sound.
