Climbing Mount Lan in Autumn and Sending a Letter to Zhang Wu
In the white clouds of Bei Mountain, the recluse finds his own delight.
Gazing toward each other, we try to climb high; my heart flies, following the birds until it fades.
Sorrow rises with the dusk; joy is born of the clear autumn.
At times I see the villagers returning home, resting at the sandy crossing.
Trees on the horizon are like wild mustard; boats by the riverbank are like the moon.
When will you come, bringing wine, so we may drink together on the Double Ninth Festival?
