A general of the southern campaign, now adrift,

Once led a hundred thousand strong.

Dismissed, he returns to no old estate,

Old, yet he loves this enlightened age.

Alone he stands—the three frontiers are still;

He has risked his life—only his sword knows.

Vast and boundless, upon the rivers of Han,

At dusk, where then shall he go?

流落征南將，曾驅十萬師。

罷歸無舊業，老去戀明時。

獨立三邊靜，輕生一劍知。

茫茫江漢上，日暮復一作「欲」何之？
