Autumn Climbing of Wugong Terrace Temple for a Distant View
Ancient Terrace, fallen into decay,
In autumn day, I gaze homeward.
Few visitors come to this mountain temple,
Cloudy peaks beyond the water, deep and remote.
The lingering sun still rests on old ramparts,
Cold chime of the bell fills the empty woods.
Melancholy thoughts of the Southern Dynasties,
The great river flows on, alone to this day.
