Inscription on the Chan Monastery Behind Poshan Temple
In the early morning I entered the ancient temple,
The first sun illuminating the tall trees.
A winding path led to a secluded spot,
Where the meditation hall stood deep among flowers and trees.
The mountain light gladdened the nature of the birds,
The pond's reflection emptied the human heart.
All sounds were utterly still here,
Only the sound of bells and chimes could be heard.
