Visiting an Old Friend's Farmstead
My old friend prepared a meal of chicken and millet,
And invited me to visit his farmstead home.
Green trees enclose the village all around,
Blue hills beyond the outer walls slope gently open.
He spread a feast, facing threshing ground and garden,
We raised our cups and talked of mulberry and hemp.
When the Double Ninth Day comes again,
I shall return to enjoy his chrysanthemums.

綠樹村邊合，青山郭外斜。
開筵面場圃，把酒話桑麻。
待到重陽日，還來就菊花。
