I have heard of the garrison at Huanglong,
Where year after year the troops know no relief.
How pitiful the moon in the women's chamber—
It shines long upon the camps of Han.
What is the young wife's longing this spring night?
What were her husband's thoughts last night?
Who can take up the banners and the drums,
And in a single stroke take Longcheng for us?
