喜見外弟又言別
十年離亂一作「亂離」後，長大一相逢。
問姓驚初見，稱名憶舊容。
別來滄海事，語罷暮天鐘。
明日巴陵道，秋山又幾重。

بعد عشر سنوات من الفراق والاضطراب، التقينا وقد كبرنا.
سألتُ عن اسمه فوجئتُ عند أول لقاء، وعند ذكر الاسم تذكرتُ وجهه القديم.
حدثتُه عن تحولات الأيام منذ الفراق، وما إن انتهى حديثنا حتى دقّ جرس المساء.
غداً طريق بالينغ، وكم جبالاً خريفية ستفصل بيننا من جديد!
فرح بلقاء ابن العم ثم وداعه
After ten years of upheaval and separation, grown now, we meet at last.
I ask your name, startled at first sight; I speak your name, recalling the face of old.
Since we parted, the world has changed like the sea; our words exhausted, the evening temple bells ring.
Tomorrow, on the road to Baling, how many autumn mountains again will lie between us?
