الإقامة الليلية في نيوتشو واستذكار الماضي
At Niuzhu on the river's western reach, a night of clear blue sky without a single cloud.
I board my boat and gaze at the autumn moon, vainly remembering General Xie.
I too can sing with soaring voice—but this man cannot be heard.
Come morning I will raise my sail—or "depart from Dongting"—as maple leaves fall in profusion—or "fall just so."
夜泊牛渚懷古
牛渚西江夜，青天無片雲。
登舟望秋月，空憶謝將軍。
余亦能高詠，斯人不可聞。
明朝挂帆席一作「洞庭去」，楓葉落一作「正」紛紛。
