Together we hasten up the vermilion steps,
Divided by our offices, bounded by the Purple Star.
At dawn we follow the imperial retinue in,
At dusk we return steeped in the incense of the palace.
White hair grieves as the flowers fall,
Blue clouds envy the birds in flight.
In this sagacious age, no affairs are lacking—
I find my own memorials growing rare.
