Dense the grasses on the old plain,
Withering and flourishing with each passing year.
Wildfires cannot burn them away,
They sprout again when the spring breeze blows.
Their distant fragrance encroaches upon the ancient road,
Their bright green hue meets the desolate walls.
Once more I see you off, noble friend,
The lush grass brimming with the sorrow of parting.
