📖 About the university
Changji Vocational and Technical College (昌吉职业技术学院) is a public full-time comprehensive higher vocational college in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, focusing on engineering and medicine, approved by the regional government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It was among the region's first model higher vocational colleges and first high-quality higher vocational schools. Its predecessor was the Changji Prefecture Workers' School, upgraded to a workers' university in 1982; in June 2001 that university merged with six other prefectural schools and was upgraded to Changji Vocational and Technical College. As of May 2026 it has 13 teaching units, 59 higher vocational majors, 742 staff and nearly 15,000 students.
