Rebuilt in 1955 with a 180-square-metre brick-and-timber hall and a two-storey wooden minaret, it became the main Friday mosque of the Xiangride area and was rebuilt again in 1996–1997 in domed Arab style on 5,339.6 square metres, with a prayer hall holding over 1,000 worshippers and a four-storey, 36-metre minaret.
