📜 About & history
Xuzhuang Mosque in Caizhai Hui Ethnic Township, Xiping County, Henan, was first built in the Ming Hongwu era and is one of four surviving places of worship in the township. After a rebuilding in 1891 it had a five-bay hall and ancillary buildings, which were later destroyed when congregations were merged; by around 1966 only four cypress trees remained. In 1982 the Hui community raised funds to build a new prayer hall, lecture rooms and ablution rooms - more than ten rooms in all - and resumed worship. The current imam is Lü Mingzhou.
