Wangdian Mosque (Xiping)

王店清真寺
📍 Zhumadian · Xiping County 🏛️ 1984

📜 About & history

Wangdian Mosque is in Wangdian Village, Huancheng Township, Xiping County, Henan. It was built in October 1984 with funds raised at the initiative of community leaders Lü Haiquan, Li Shumin and Li Ruhai, because it was inconvenient for local Hui to travel to the Beiguan Mosque. Covering 3 mu, it first had a three-bay prayer hall, a three-room north lecture hall, two ablution rooms and a gatehouse. In 1996 a two-storey, six-bay Arab-style prayer hall and five-room north and south lecture halls were added. It serves the Hui of Wangdian and surrounding villages.
