📜 About & history

Sansu Mosque, also called Zhangwei Mosque, was founded in the Qing dynasty in classical Chinese style with a prayer hall, lecture hall and ablution room. Burned by Japanese troops during the War of Resistance, it lay unrepaired for many years until 1992, when it was rebuilt with funding from Sudanese Muslims arranged by local youth An Xianyong. It now has a three-bay prayer hall (90 square metres) and a moon-watching tower, and serves 560 Hui households.
