One of Shanxi's largest origin wholesale markets for vegetables and melons, founded in April 1992 beside National Road 108 in Xinjiang County and now run by a village collective shareholding company. Its 120-mu site has trading sheds, cold stores and an office building, handling 500 million kg a year worth 400 million yuan. It was designated by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1999 and is a national leading agribusiness enterprise, with produce reaching 21 provinces as well as Japan and Korea.
