A crayfish, crab and aquatic-products market in Hanchuan, one of China's core crayfish-producing areas on the Han River and Diaocha Lake. Crayfish from surrounding townships are brought here for sorting and dispatch, with more than 200,000 jin (over 100 tonnes) shipped to Chinese cities each day. Three temperature- and oxygen-controlled express freight lines serve more than 50 cities, which makes it a useful source for wholesale crayfish buyers.
