Zhuoshui Ancient Town sits on the Apeng River in the south-east corner of Zhuoshui Town, southern Qianjiang, 26 kilometres from the district centre. It is laid out as "five streets, seven lanes, three halls and seven courtyards", with old streets such as Banbian Street and Jiangxi Street and compounds such as the Baxian Hall and an old tobacco-house bank. The Zhuoshui scenic area was named a national 5A attraction in December 2020, and in 2022 it was listed as a national intangible-heritage tourism town.
