ℹ️ About
The Zhuokeji Chieftain's Residence in Xisuo Village, Barkam Town, Barkam, Aba Prefecture, covers more than 1,400 square metres and was first built in 1286 under the Yuan. Four groups of watchtowers enclose a nearly square courtyard laid out symmetrically on a central axis. Finely built, it distils the building skills of the Gyalrong Tibetans, is a model of combined Tibetan and Han architecture and bears witness to the native-chieftain system. It was listed as a national key cultural relic in 1988.
