The Ancient City of Zheng and Han lies where the Shuangji and Huangshui rivers meet in urban Xinzheng and covers about 16 square kilometres. Duke Wu of Zheng made it his capital after the Zhou court moved east, and the State of Han moved its capital here after conquering Zheng in 375 BC. It was in the first group of major nationally protected sites.
