ℹ️ About
The Yehe Tribe City Site is near Laoyemiao Village in western Yehe Manchu Town, Tiedong District, Siping. It was the royal city of the Yehe, one of the four Hulun tribes of the Haixi Jurchens in the late Ming, the birthplace of Empress Xiaoci, consort of Nurhaci, and the ancestral home of Empress Dowagers Cixi and Longyu. Its eastern city, western city and Shangjianfu city form a triangle, the first two facing each other across the Yehe River. Abandoned after the Later Jin captured it in 1619, it became a national key cultural relic in 2006 and is open free all day.
