ℹ️ About
The ruins of Yecheng in Yezhen Town, about 20 kilometres south-west of the Linzhang county town, were the capital of six dynasties: Cao Wei, Later Zhao, Ran Wei, Former Yan, Eastern Wei and Northern Qi. The rectangular site was divided by an east-west avenue into a northern city about 2,400 by 1,700 metres and a southern city about 2,800 by 3,460 metres. Yecheng is regarded as the starting point of ancient Chinese capital planning and "a model of ancient Chinese capital construction". It became a national key cultural relic site in 1988.
