Yaolin Wonderland, or Yaolin Cave, in Yaolin Town, Tonglu, 80 kilometres from Hangzhou, is a typical karst cave about 1 kilometre deep with a total area of 500,000 square metres. Of its seven halls, the first four are natural and the last three use sound and light effects. It first opened in 1980, is praised as "the crown of China's caves" and is a 4A attraction.
