ℹ️ About
Yaoba Ancient Town, in Yaoba Town, Hejiang County, Luzhou, sits where Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou meet, 22 kilometres from Luzhou. Set between hills and water, its old street runs more than 1,000 metres, lined by over 2,000 grey-tiled rooms, mostly Qing and Republican-era courtyard houses of southern Sichuan, earning it the name "living fossil of southern Sichuan dwellings". Founded in the Northern Song and flourishing in the Ming and Qing, it lay on the old road to the Yelang kingdom. Sights include the former home of Wang Chaowen, a film exhibition hall, an oil-paper umbrella workshop and the Dahong rice shop. It is a national 4A attraction and national historical town.
