ℹ️ About
Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay National Wetland Park lies on the east side of Yueqing Bay, facing the Yandang Mountains across the water. It covers 31.48 square kilometres, including 7.06 square kilometres of shallow tidal flats and 16.7 square kilometres of water. It is divided into conservation, restoration, education, sustainable-use and service zones and includes coastal, river, marsh and man-made wetlands. It is one of the main wintering grounds in China for the endangered Saunders's gull and the only national water scenic area in China created by land reclamation. In 2023 its migratory-bird habitat was placed on the first national list of important terrestrial wildlife habitats.
