Xilingol Grassland (Xilinhot) is one of China's largest and best-preserved temperate grasslands, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1987. Spanning over 20,000 km², it offers authentic Mongolian pastoral experiences including staying in traditional ger (yurt) camps, attending Nadam festivals, and witnessing horse racing and archery. The grassland is home to Mongolian gazelles, wild horses, and numerous migratory birds.
