The Dalian Xianyuwan Tourist Resort lies in Xianyuwan Town in western Wafangdian and is a national 4A resort with a planned area of 45 square kilometres. Highlights include the Yumeiren bathing beach with excellent water and sand, Lovers' Island, known as the "pearl of the sea", the well-preserved Sui-dynasty fort town of Yangguanbao, the Lovers sculpture, the Nine Fairies sculpture and "Lotus Breeze over the Ponds", one of the Eight Wonders of Fuzhou (old Wafangdian). It is a popular summer retreat.
