Xianren Island in Jiulongdi Subdistrict, Gaizhou, Yingkou, is a peninsula reaching into Liaodong Bay of the Bohai Sea, surrounded by water on three sides; it is also called Rabbit Island because it looks like a crouching rabbit. It is home to the Baishawan Golden Coast, a national 4A attraction with a flat beach of fine sand known as the "First Beach of Liaodong" and famous for its sunset and tidal views. The area combines bathing beaches, a vast coastal shelter forest, a Ming-dynasty beacon tower and modern wind turbines, and is an important seaside resort in Liaoning.
