ℹ️ About
Xiangru Ancient City, also called the "Taiji City", in Jinping Town, Peng'an County, Nanchong, is a national 4A attraction with 13,000 square metres of old buildings and more than 20 historic sites, including Sima Xiangru's former house and the Changqing Hall. In 507, Emperor Wu of Liang created Xiangru County in memory of the Han-dynasty poet Sima Xiangru, with his former home as the county seat. In 1278 the seat of Pengzhou moved here, making it the only town on the Jialing River to serve as both prefectural and county seat. It was named a Sichuan historical and cultural city in 2007.
