Xiamen Botanical Garden was founded in 1960 as the first botanical garden in Fujian. It lies on Wanshi Mountain in the southeast of Xiamen Island and covers 4.93 square kilometres. It cultivates more than 9,000 plant species in 16 themed gardens. It was rated a national 5A tourist attraction in February 2024.
