ℹ️ About
Wuwei Desert Park in Wangzhuang Village, Qingyuan Town, Liangzhou District, Wuwei, lies on the edge of the Tengger Desert about 22 kilometres from the city and is a national 4A attraction. Founded in 1986 and covering 12,000 mu, it is one of China's earliest comprehensive parks built in a desert. More than 5 million desert plants such as saxaul and tamarisk grow here, and a desert botanical garden with more than 350 species was completed in 1994. It has a horse track, sand-sliding slopes and a man-made lake, offers go-karts, beach buggies and camel rides, and features a "musical road".
