ℹ️ About
The Tacheng Red Building stands in a compound at the junction of Jiefang Road and Wenhua Road in Tacheng. Construction began in 1910, late in the Qing dynasty, and was completed in 1914. There are two red buildings: the old building on the west, with a floor area of 885 square metres, and on the east the Tacheng Red Building Museum, built on the site in 2006 with 1,789 square metres for exhibitions. Reflecting the meeting of Eastern and Western cultures, it was listed in 2006 as a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level (sixth batch).
